Allison Xu
Founder and Executive Director

Allison is a high school junior in Maryland. She founded Simply Soft Skills to help teenagers develop skills in communication, creativity, leadership, and many other areas. She’s excited to work with her wonderful team in creating resources and empowering teens. She has a strong interest in creative writing, public speaking, and journalism. In her free time, she enjoys baking cookies and playing with her beagle.

Selina Chan
Social Media Co-Director

Selina is a high school junior in Maryland. She enjoys working with the Simply Soft Skills team because she likes what it advocates—to improve crucial soft skills that are not typically learned in school.  She is excited for what awaits. In Selina’s free time, she likes to draw, listen to music, and read novels.

Sara Karbowski
Content Co-Director

Sara is a high school junior in Maryland. She joined the Simply Soft Skills team to help teens around the world by providing resources that she would find handy as a teen herself. Through Simply Soft Skills, she hopes to share her experiences and tips to make someone’s day a little brighter. She enjoys playing the piano, writing haikus, watching K-dramas, and going on walks with her brother.

Hannah Magino
Outreach Co-Director

Hannah is a high school junior in Maryland. She joined the Simply Soft Skills team to help teens like her navigate their everyday lives as high schoolers. Outside of school, she spends time rowing for her high school team, competing in cyber competitions, and watching TV shows. She enjoys helping others and strives to give back to her community.

Daisy Wong
Content Co-Director

Daisy is a high school sophomore in Maryland. She believes that Simply Soft Skills will jumpstart success in young teens.  She loves to run, read, and hang out with her friends. She has strong interests in public speaking and STEM. In her free time, she loves solving puzzles. 

Jennifer Wan
Social Media Co-Director

Jennifer is a high school sophomore in Maryland. She joined Simply Soft Skills to help advocate for the importance of vital soft skills and is excited to work with the team to introduce resources and tips for teens to improve their lives. She enjoys swimming and martial arts and especially loves playing the violin and engaging in forms of creative expression—making music, designing, creative writing, and creating art.

Stanley Xu
Outreach Co-Director

Stanley is a high school junior in Maryland. He joined Simply Soft Skills because he believes that these are skills that will aid high schoolers and have a positive impact on their future. He has a strong interest in running cross country, coding, and listening to true crime podcasts. Stanley also enjoys volunteering and working with younger kids.

Amelia Lenz

Amelia is a high school senior in Georgia. Her passion is creative writing, and her poems have appeared in Cathartic Lit Magazine, Astrea Zine, and The WEIGHT Journal. She believes that skills in leadership, time management, and communication are vital for success. When not writing, she enjoys crocheting, playing with her dog, and indulging in her tea obsession.

Timothy Le

Timothy is a high school junior in Maryland. He joined Simply Soft Skills because he believes that soft skills are essential for connecting with other people and building positive relationships. He has a strong interest in science and mental health advocacy. In his free time, he enjoys listening to pop music, playing the piano, going on long walks, and making origami crafts.

Akshita is a high school senior in Ohio. She joined Simply Soft Skills because she wants to promote learning skills that are overlooked by many, but critical in our lives. Through Simply Soft Skills, she hopes to help numerous teenagers pursue something new and overcome their fears. She’s excited to work with the amazing team at Soft Skills and empower teenagers through her writing. She enjoys playing tennis, watching movies and TV shows, and serving her community through volunteering.

Shannon is a high school sophomore in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her favorite interests consist of reading, writing as well as binging Netflix shows. A few of her favorite shows are Brooklyn 99, The Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy. She likes to relax by using her scented candles and listening to lofi music.

Ananya is a high school senior in Illinois. She loves to write, edit, watch movies, and listen to music. She has strong interests in the fields of journalism, communication, and public speaking. She is thrilled to be able to spread her love for communication and help other teens succeed at being the best version of themselves.

Romaisa is a rising 11th grader from Islamabad, Pakistan. She resonates with Simply Soft Skills’ mission and hopes to use this platform to help teenagers around the globe by disseminating valuable knowledge she gained after interning at NGOs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, and learning new things. Currently, her favorite song is ‘I Ain’t Worried’ by OneRepublic. Her long-term goal is to positively impact society!
